Turkey is a European country with the most number of cattle and poultry. It YEKDE the spread in Turkey with the aim of biogas plants (Renewable Energy Sources Support Mechanism) is conducting various activities for high-capacity biogas plants. Biogas power plants in Turkey widespread failure to one of the biggest reasons for cost effective central city with a population of about 250,000 5,000 animal waste or municipal waste (waste vegetable or equivalent) is required. The number of cities and farms with this capacity is very small.

Turkey in the 5000-15000 between the urban population and 50 – 100 Not from cattle farms, which are more common. In cities and farms of this type, electricity can be produced by establishing micro biogas facilities. Since micro biogas plants are not supported, a great biomass potential is wasted and harmful methane (CH4) gas is released into the atmosphere.

For this reason, the design objectives of the micro biogas unit we will develop within the scope of our project are as follows;

• Suitable for cities with a population of 5.000 – 15.000 and farms with 50 – 100 cattle,
• Domestic design,
• Modular structure suitable for increasing capacity,
• As a package system with completed production and tests in the workshop in order to accelerate the construction, assembly, commissioning field process in the field,
• Easy to use, necessary safety precautions are taken,
• Suitable for automation,

Economic, low initial investment cost,

• Easy to operate,
• Highly efficient.

R&D studies will be carried out to meet these needs, will be designed, prototype will be produced, functional and field tests will be performed and turned into a product.

With the micro biogas unit we will develop within the scope of this project, it will be possible to produce biogas with a low amount of biomass without the need for high investment costs and reduce the emission of gases harmful to the environment. In addition, localization of similar systems with examples abroad will be ensured.
